Judy Ruth Carelli

1949 ∼ 2011

Judy R. Carelli, 62, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2011, at home after a brave battle with breast cancer and leukemia. Judy was born on January 16, 1949, in Kenosha, to Frank James and Frances Roberta (Pugh) Carelli. She attended public school, and graduated from Bradford High School. She worked for many years at Mars Cheese Castle, then as primary care giver to her mom following her stroke. Always helpful and without complaint, Judy was loving, kind and generous to all: family, friends and animals. Since 2004, she was very involved with Bridges Community Center which had a very positive influence on her life. Judy enjoyed Disney animated movies; sports, especially watching golf on television; and gardening and horticulture. She was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her sister, Jeanne Carelli of Los Angeles; and her devoted companion, James Maynard, several aunts, and many cousins. Judy will be greatly missed by all. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 9th, at Proko Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Bridges Community Center would be greatly appreciated by the family.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Judy’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Judy. I grew up living next door to the Carelli's. Jeanne was my first best friend and school mate. Judy took care of us I am sure on many occassions. We all moved on in our separate ways, but I never forgot this family. There are many memories that were shared over the years. Love, peace and prayers to all. Jeannie Mantuano Hubbard
