Joseph Miceli, 77, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 21, 2011, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 12, 1934, in Mendicino, Italy, he was the son of the late Mariano and Maria (Reda) Miceli. On September 30, 1962, he married Emilia Perfetti in Italy. They moved to Kenosha in 1964. Joseph was employed by Mac Whyte Wire Rope as a Machinist until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening, playing with his grandchildren, spending time with his family, and was an avid Packer fan. Joseph is survived by his wife, Emilia of Kenosha; four children, Susanna (Scott) Pfeiffer of Lindenhurst, IL, Maria (Hammad) Hammad of Portland, OR, Josephine Miceli of Buffalo Grove, IL, and Kathy (John Laurenzi) Miceli of Kenosha; four grandchildren, Amanda, Mia, Luke, and Joseph; and a sister, Rosetta (Carlucci) Muto of Italy. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26th, at Proko Funeral Home at 8:45 a.m. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
