William "Bill" M. Flasch, 86, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2011, at his residence after a short battle with cancer. Born in Kenosha on December 4, 1924, he was the son of the late Peter and Nettie (Finney) Flasch. He was a lifelong resident of Kenosha. He was in the United States Navy during World War II from June 4, 1942, until his honorable discharge December 10, 1945. He served in the Asiatic Pacific, receiving the Asiatic Pacific Area Ribbon with 1 star and the World War II Victory Medal. After returning from service he worked for American Motors Corp. for over 38 years, retiring in 1985. On June 13, 1957, he married Lorraine Socha at St. James Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Lorraine of Kenosha; son, Rick (Laurie) Flasch of Franklin, WI; and his four grandchildren, Jeremy, Megan, Sarah and Justin Flasch. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and James; and a sister, Rose Perry. A private service and interment were held.
