Edgar Strasser, 88, formerly of Kenosha, late of Waupan, WI, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2011, in Waupan. Born in Bryant, WI, on September 15, 1923, he was the son of the late John G. and Grace (Jones) Strasser. Educated in the schools of Bryant and Antigo, WI, he came to Kenosha in 1961 to make his home. On September 18, 1943, he married Gladys E. Emerich. She preceded him in death on October 20, 1989. He was in the United States Army, serving during World War II. Edgar had been a farmer and a logger until moving to Kenosha. He then worked at Ladish Tri-Clover as a machinist for over 25 years. Edgar was a former Member of the Masonic Lodge and an avid Green Bay Packer Football fan. Surviving are his three children, Karen (Henry) Kohler of Oak Creek, WI, Patsy (Dale) Uhr of Kenosha, and John (Fiancee: LInda) Strasser of Racine; a sister, Betty (Jack) Marciniak of Antigo, WI; five grandchildren, Janet, Jean, Jason, Jennifer and Kaitlyn; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lee Strasser. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 6th, at Proko Funeral Home at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
