Willard Henry Frank

1912 ∼ 2011

Willard Henry Frank
Willard Henry Frank, 98, of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. Born in Racine on September 27, 1912, he was the son of the late Fred W. and Susan (Surfus) Frank. He was educated in the schools of Racine and moved to Kenosha in 1940. On December 21, 1940, he married Agnes Bistrick in Iowa. Willard was a tool design engineer and a manufacturing engineer at J.I. Case from 1935 until his retirement in 1977. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, the Kenosha Art Association, the J.I. Case 20 Year Club, and was past recording secretary at St. George Holy Name. He enjoyed his summers camping with his family at Carroll Lake in Woodruff, WI, and was known for his sense of humor. An artist and self-described hobbyist, Willard sold a few of his renderings over the years, but most recently gives his art work away to his friends at Brookside. At Case, he was able to take his natural talent and the little training he had at a drafting board and convert that into a tool design career that would span 35 years. Although his art hobby has taken images mainly from photos, magazines and greeting cards for his renderings, at Case his tool designs came from his own imagination. Survivors include his wife, Agnes of Kenosha; a daughter, Madelynn (Mike) Bagdasarian of Racine; three sons, Frederick (Pat) Frank of Alamo, TX, Will (Kelly) Frank of Racine and Jeff (Julie) Frank of Kenosha; nine grandchildren, David Bagdasarian, Karen Bagdasarian, Michael (Kim) Bagdasarian, Michelle (Bob) Engelhart, Daniel Frank, Tracie Poisl, Nicole (Kevin) Davis, Jonathan Frank and Amanda Frank; and eight great-grandchildren, Alec, Olivia, Elise, Madison, Bryanna, Brayden, Hannah and Brynnley. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Hetzel; and a step granddaughter, Christine Parker. The family would like to thank the staff at Brookside Care Center for the exceptional care they gave Willard. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 7th, from the Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Elizabeth Catholic Church or Brookside Care Center would be appreciated by the family.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Willard’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

Dear Madelynn, Mike and Family, My sincerest condolences and sympathies on the loss of your father; what a long and talented life he lived; may the many memories his longevity and talent have produced sustain you in the days and years ahead until we are all together again in Christ and know Him who has been, is, and always will be our source of hope and consolation. My prayers are with you as pastoral duties conflict with both visitation and Mass, making each impossible as much as I truly wish I were able to join you. Affectionately yours, Father Rick
