Richard G. “Dick” Woodside, 81, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha. Born in Kenosha on August 7, 1929, he was the son of the late Carmen G. and Theresa E. (Drysdale) Woodside. He graduated from Washington Park High School in Racine. On December 8, 1984, he married Loretta J. Scoville. Richard lived and worked his whole life in the Racine/ Kenosha area. He is survived by his wife, Loretta; son, Rick (Aletha) of Racine, daughter, Karen (Jeff) Jones of Windermere, FL, son, Tom (Charlsie) Leverett, MA, son, Ron of Nashville, TN, son, Jeff of Chicago, IL, son, Mark (Kathy) of Tampa, FL, stepdaughter, Shelly (David) Christian of Casa Grande, AZ, stepson, Rick Scoville of Kenosha, stepson, Mike Scoville of Kenosha; nine grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Lu. He will be missed dearly by family and friends. He will be remembered for always offering words of wisdom and encouragement, and teaching his children and grandchildren the values of honest work and how to deal with adversity. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ellen Spiering for all her help and kindness the past years.
