Margaret J. Jensen, 93, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Hospice House with her family by her side. Born on October 15, 1917, in Withee, WI, she was the daughter of the late Hans K. and Bertha (Nielsen) Andersen. She was proud to have been a graduate of Withee High School. In 1936 she came to Kenosha to make her home. On July 30, 1938, she married Arnold M. Jensen at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church. They enjoyed a wonderful, fulfilling marriage which lasted 66 years, up to Arnold’s death on August 12, 2004. Margaret had been employed by JC Penney, Tri-Clover, Kroger Grocery Store and Kemen Sausage, retiring in 1977. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, former member of Trinity Lutheran Altar Guild and served as treasurer of Roosevelt Elementary School PTA. Margaret was a passionate card player and enjoyed playing Pinochle with her friends. Surviving are her two daughters, Cheryl Thomson (John Otto) of Bristol and Diane (Steve) Massie of Apopka, FL; and five grandsons, Scott Nielsen, David and James Thomson, and Ryan and Christopher Massie. A devoted grandmother, she was like a second mother to David and James. Margaret is further survived by a sister-in-law, Geraldine Andersen; many nieces and nephews; and also many devoted neighbors and friends. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Ronald James Jensen in 1949; and her brothers and sisters, Alice Jensen, Julian Andersen, Alton Andersen, Alvin Andersen, and Verna Struble. The family would like to extend a special thanks to niece and caregiver, Patricia McCann, Jan Jessen, Hospice Alliance and Dr. Mitchell Ziarko for their kind and compassionate care given to Margaret. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 11th, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Green Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday at Proko Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice Alliance or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Margaret’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

Dear Cheryl, Your beautiful Mom, my Aunt Margaret, has joined your Dad, my Dad & Mom, and all the Andersen siblings in Heaven. I know they all welcomed her with open arms. Perhaps she is busy playing cards around the clock now! May you be comforted by our Lord's promise of eternal life to all who know Jesus as Savior. We know we will be reunited one day. God be with you and all your family. You continue to be in our prayers. Love, Cousin Jan & Bob

Dear Cheryl, Diane & all the “Andersen Cousins” & their families,It is with love in my heart and fond memories that I write to you today. Aunt Margaret (& Uncle Arnold) had a special place in our hearts. We will never forget the time that all of the Andersen siblings visited my mom and dad’s cottage at the same time. It was the first time in 30 years they had all been together and the last time. Now Aunt Margaret has joined the rest of her brothers and sisters in her eternal resting place. It is sad for all of us and we will miss her dearly. Our prayers are with you as they have been throughout Aunt Margaret’s illness. It’s never easy to lose a parent & even harder when you have lost both. We will continue to pray for you. Love, Your Cousin, Sylvia (Andersen) Lange & Jim

Dear Cheryl and family,I was saddened to hear of Aunt Margaret's latest medical problem but then I realized that she would soon see her baby and husband, people she really missed. She will be missed by her family and friends, especially her card club members. We are comforted by the knowledge that she is now in a better place. I am glad I had the opportunity to help her stay in her home until she left for her eternal reward. Remembering all of you in prayer, love, Pat McCann

It is with heavy heart and great grief that we mark the passing of this fine lady. She has been an inspiration and a source of great love for all of us. We can only take solace in the knowledge that she has passed on to a much greater place, and will be waiting for us when we, too, go on to our reward. God bless her and rest her sole.

Dear Cheryl and family. My thoughts and prayers have been with you all these past few days and weeks. It is such a difficult time. My comfort is in knowing Aunt Margaret is now with my Dad and all the Andersen siblings. I shall always remember her kind words years ago when she called me here in Florida when they were visiting the west coast. Know that I will be thinking of you all Monday and be with you in spirit. Call anytime, Cheryl. Love, Cuz Patti
