Marion Frances Kaitis

Marion Francis Kaitis, 92, of Dahlonega, Georgia formerly of Pleasant Prairie, WI passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 22nd at Gold City Convalescent Center.Born on June 9, 1918 in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Camilla (Kulik) Gray. She was educated in McKinley and Kenosha High School. She was later employed by Coopers and Jockey. In 1942 she moved to San Francisco, CA and was employed by the Federal Public Housing Authority.On July 17, 1948 she married Thad Kaitis in Chicago, IL. He passed away August 22, 1995. They lived in Des Plaines, IL until November 1977 when they moved to Kenosha to be near family.A homemaker, she enjoyed caring for her pets, exercising at the YMCA and dinner out with friends.She is survived by her two sons, Todd (Jean) Kaitis of Batavia, IL and Kevin of Elgin, IL; beloved sisters, Winifred Williams of Kenosha and Dorothea (Vince) Dietchman of Los Altos, CA; sister-in-law, Stella Gray of Booth Bay, Maine, Ruth Kaitis of Park Ridge, IL, Marge Kaitis of Joliet, IL; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her two brothers, Charles and James.A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Wednesday July 6 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
