Daniel T. Nevala, 21, formerly of Kenosha went to be with His Lord and Savior on May 4th, 2011, while visiting in Queens Creek, Ariz.He was born in Menomonee Falls, Wis., on June 8th, 1989, the beloved son of Thomas Nevala of Mount Pleasant, Wis., and Kary (Passante) Zurn of Queens Creek, Ariz.Daniel graduated in 2007 from Higley High School in Gilbert, Ariz. He also attended Gateway Technical College for Computer Science for 2 years in Racine, Wis. Daniel loved working on computers and spending time with his family.He was the beloved step-son to Marty Zurn of Queens Creek, Ariz., and Gale Nevala of Mount Pleasant, Wis. He is survived by his sisters Jade and Angeline Zurn, of Queens Creek, Ariz.; grandparents Ronald and Dorothy Nevala of Kenosha, Sid and Kathy Geiken of Queens Creek, Ariz., Frank and Barbara Passante of Pewaukee, Wisc., Sandy and Mike Wilson of Kenosha, Wayne and Charlotte Morgan of Menominee Falls, Wis. Daniel also leaves behind several aunts and uncles, John and Amy Passante, Bryan and Trish Nevala, Sharon Nevala, Randy Kavalauskas, Michael Nevala, Ariel Ashmore, Sue Nevala, Eric and Sandy (Nevala) Juopperi, Pam and Scott Amundson, Felix Icasiano, Andrew Worby, Chris Zurn, Brian and Lisa Zurn. He is also survived by his fiancée, Stephanie Fernandez. He has many cousins Mark Nevala, Jamie and Ryan Icasiano, Amanda, Melissa, David, Jennifer, Alaina Juopperi, Eliana Guadarrama, Kayla and Michael Anderson, Noah, Rylee and Brynn Amundson, Rebecka, Nathan and Joshua Passante and many friends.Daniel is preceded in death by his aunt Kimberly (Nevala) Worby, Jim Zurn, Bronson Anderson, Mathew Juopperi, and Angel Icasiano.Funeral Services will begin with a prayer service at the Proko Funeral Home on Thursday May 12th at 9:30 a.m. and will process to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park Chapel. I worked with Dan in the toy dept. at Wal-mart for just a few months, before I went on medical leave to have surgery on 08-17-2010; but for those few months there was nobody that I was more proud to work with than Dan. He always tried to do his best, always went a little further than was asked of him, and was the kind of worker, we need more of. Our dept. head Debbie, myself, and all of his fellow Wal-mart co-workers will miss him dearly. Thank you!
