Audrey R. Homes, 73, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Grand Prairie Health Care Center. She was born in Kenosha on June 2, 1937, the daughter of the late Harrison and Louise (Destell) Martell. She was educated and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. On December 1, 1956, she married William D. Homes in Kenosha; he preceded her in death in 2002. Audrey was employed by Snap On Tool Co. until her retirement in 1987. Following her retirement, she and William moved to Florida until 2003. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Surviving Audrey are her four children, Daniel (Susan) Homes of Glen Carbon, IL, Deborah (Samuel) Coan of Kenosha, David Homes of Kenosha and Donald (Sharon) Homes of Monroe, NC; eight grandchildren, William, Bradley, Allen, Lori, and Amber Homes, Michelle (Adam) Fonk, Nicole (Jason) Boyer and Charles (Caitlyn) Homes; three great-grandchildren, Emily and Ellie Fonk and Aiden Homes; and two sisters, Dora Boyle of Neenah, WI, and Janet (Richard) Strombeck of Oconomowoc, WI. She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Arthur, Clarence, David, Harrison, Robert, Al and Donald Martell; and two sisters, Irene Money and Margaret Feichtner. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 17th, at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Proko Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and also on Thursday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time of the service. Interment will be held privately at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. To Audrey's Kids....I'm so sorry you have lost your Mother....she was a wonderful generous person and you were fortunate to have her as a role model the years you had her. I feel lucky to have known her our days on 29th Ave and I'm sorry that illness keeps me from joining you in celebration of her life.

Thank you so much for the Privledge of taking care of your Mom. She was a Wonderful Person to take care of and never had a complaint even though she must have been going through so much.
