Gabriel Solomon Jackson, 34, a resident of Kansas City, MO, who longed to return to Kenosha, WI, passed away on February 16, 2011, at St Luke’s Plaza Hospital in Kansas City, MO, following a sudden unexpected illness. Gabriel was born on November 8, 1976, in Kansas City, MO, to Samuel and Bessie (Curtis) Jackson. He attended school in Kalamazoo, MI, in which he graduated in 1994. Gabriel worked at Perkins in Lee Summit, MO, where he built strong relationships with coworkers. He dreamed of becoming a movie producer; Gabriel was a fan of movies and an avid movie collector. He had the ability to capture your attention moments after entering a room. Gabriel saw people as equals and loved to debate that position. Gabriel loved dancing, bowling, spending time with his special four legged friend Angel and making people laugh. His greatest memories was time spent with family, he was very proud of his brothers and held a special bond with his parents spiritually. He is the center piece in our family and he will be greatly missed and loved always. Gabriel accepted Christ after being lead by family and influenced by Curtiss Hutsell, Associate Pastor of the Blue Ridge Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO. Gabriel is survived by his parents, Samuel Jackson, Bessie (Curtis) Jackson; three brothers, Marvin Jackson of Kansas City, MO, Allen Jackson of Kenosha, WI, and Timothy Jackson of North Chicago, IL; nieces, Brittany (Penny) Ridgeway, Jasmyn Jackson, Trypheana Jackson, Jasmine (Thomas) Jackson, Deven Jackson and Tanasiah Jackson; nephews, Vonte Jackson and De’Andre Jackson; as well as members of the Buie, Curtis, Jackson Families and many friends. My dearest friend, my dancing partner, my buddy, my love, and most importantly my brother in Christ! Words cannot explain my feelings at this moment, but I am thankful that you accepted Christ in your life. At this present time, I am missing you like never before! It hurts me to know that I cannot physically hug you, dance with you, joke with you, worship with you and just hang out. I've enjoyed every moment that we shared and I am very thankful and honored that the Lord brought you into my life. Gabriel, I love you and we shall meet again! I will continue to honor your name and share our wonderful stories with my son Haneef.I will pray for your family and friends because we all need the Lord to make it through this transitioning process. Love,Chika Hampton(MSAO Forever)
