Dear Barb & family, Please accept our deepest sympathy in the loss of your husband, father and our good friend. We sure will miss Dan's smile. We had some great times together fishing, camping & just partying. You have many great memories to share, but will never replace his being there with you. Here is a poem that may help:"He took my love for His, Spring Bouquet of flowers, Picked him from my garden for His silver vase, In living water he now grows, Brighter than the sun, Oh, tell him Lord, he is still my favorite flower". Know that you are in our prayers. Hugs to you and your family.

I remember when I went to a party for Kathy or Karen in Lindenhurst...there was a pool in the yard and we did not bring our swimsuits. My mom would not let us go swimming...Uncle Dan threw me in the pool and said, "you can go swimming now." My mom was so upset, but we were happy. He always made sure everyone had a good time no matter happy no matter what the circumstances were. He ALWAYS was making sure everyone had a good time. He was and ALWAYS be UNCLE DAN!! He will be missed greatly and loved by all of the lives he has touched.

It is never easy to lose a parent.Just know I am thinking of you and your family are in my prayers. Your dad will always be with you. I know all to well what it feels like to lose a father. mine was 58 when we lost him. and I didn't get to say goodbye...know that he is in god's hands now and he also knows how much he was loved here on earth. Kathy, you were a good daughter...hang in there and be thankful of all of the beautiful memories that you have. I really believe that saying "A person is not truly gone unless they are forgotten."Hugs to you and your family.Your friend : rose

All my sympathy to you, Barb and your family. I don't even know how to begin to say how sad I am for your loss. I have never meet anyone like Dan. He shared his love of woodworking with me when I first asked for him to make a shadowbox for my nephew who served in first Iraq and then Afghanistan The shadowbox proudly displays his metals from the war and is beautiful! I also know his love for the Chicago Bears! I asked Dan to make a shadowbox to display a gift I received from Anthony Adams, a Chicago Bear Player. The gift of signed pink gloves that the players wore in honor of breast cancer month and of course he was all over that! This shadow box is proudly displayed in my home! My father and Dan spent time fishing together and I am sure talking about football! People say Bears and Packer fans don't get along, but I think he and Dan proved them wrong! May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of a great man!

Aunt Barb, Kathy, KarenYou all are in my thoughts and prayers. Uncle Dan was an amazing man. He loved all of you so very much. When he would talk about each one of you or his Grandsons his eyes would light up and have that grin on his face... May all of you find peace knowing he loved each and everyone one of you with all of his heart. Keep his love in your heart and lock it away and keep it there for eternity and beyond. God Bless,Jackie Gonzalez
