Webster A. “Web” Gentz, 94, of Somers, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2011, at Hospitality Manor. Born in Kenosha on March 18, 1916, he was the son of the late William and Selma (Schmekel) Gentz. A lifelong resident of Kenosha County, he was educated in local schools, attending Bullamore Forks and Friedens Lutheran School. On October 6, 1945, he married Olga Morgenroth at Epiphany Church in Racine, WI. Web was a farmer for over 55 years, retiring in the 1980’s. He was also a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Southeast Wisconsin Antique Power and Collectable Society. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Olga of Somers; two sons, John (Ellen) of Kingman, AZ, and Arnold (Bonnie) of Somers; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, William, in infancy. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 24th, at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5038-19th Avenue, at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
