Barbara Jean Severs, 58, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2010, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. Born in Kenosha on May 21, 1952, she was the daughter of Frank and Regina (Klemp) Willems. On May 22, 2002, Barbara married John Severs in Las Vegas, NV. Barbara was a nurse, most recently employed by Wisconsin Veteran’s Home, Boland Hall, since 2006. Prior to that, she provided loving care to residents of Brookside nursing home for over 24 years. She also worked as a deputy coroner for Kenosha County. She was very active in her community and a long standing member of the union. She also owned and operated “Barb & John’s Hanger” bar with her husband. She is survived by her husband, John; a daughter, Susan Rosmann (Austin) Park; her granddaughter, Lydia Park; her mother, Regina Willems; and three sisters, Patricia (Russ) Jones, Diana Tschida, and Christine (Larry) Smith. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 28th, at Proko Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery.
