Amelia "Millie" Capponi, 85, of Kenosha passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 1st at Hospice House with her family at her side.Born in Cosenza, Italy Aprl 3rd, 1925, the daughter of the late Michele and Angeline (Giordano) Turco. In 1928 she came to Kenosha to make her home.On January 25th, 1947 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church she married Mario T. Capponi. He passed away May 10th, 2000.For over 38 years Millie worked as a seamstress for Jockey International. A member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and the Kenosha Women’s Club. She was a member and past Steward of Jockey Retirees Union. She was a Bingo enthusiest and enjoyed cooking Italian meals. Unil her husband’s health failed they enjoyed spending the Winters in Las Vegas.Surviving are a daughter Jennie Capponi of Kenosha; three grandchildren; Angelina (Keith) Wappel, Jr.; Melissa Fox of Racine; Gene Fox of Kenosha; three great grandchildren, Anthony & Alexis Voss, Declan Wappel and a brother; Alfred Turco of Kneosha.She was preceded in death by two brothers; Albert and Ernest Turco and a great grandaughthter, Zoe Fox.A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 4th at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Interment will be held on Monday, December 6th at St. James Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
