Margaret Refieuna, 95, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at Aurora Medical Center. Born in Christopher, IL, on April 4, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Cibrario) Refieuna. She came to Kenosha as a child and received her education in local schools. For over 42 years she was employed by Jockey International, retiring in September of 1978. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, the Ladies Society and the Mission Group of Mt. Carmel Church, St. Mary’s Lutheran Friendly Center, Jockey Retirees Club, Catholic Women’s Club and Kenosha Senior Citizen Center. Margaret enjoyed baking, reading, crocheting, traveling and attending plays. She is survived by a nephew, John (Cindy) Refieuna of Huntsville, AL; a niece, Mary (Gary) Rowe of Redding, CA; many great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Margherita Refieuna; two brothers, Peter and John; and two nieces, Josephine Clark and Antonette Durkee. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 15th, from Proko Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery.
