Rita Mae, mom’s precious angel, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2010, after a long illness. Rita is at peace now in God’s loving hands. She will still watch over us as she did here on earth, making sure everyone is happy, taken care of and doing their job. Rita spent her days at the YMCA, a special program for developmentally and physically disabled, doing arts and crafts, board games, swimming and visiting fun places in the community. One of Rita’s real joys was being with her friends. Rita will be deeply missed by her family; her mother, Janice Nelson; sisters, Courtney Nelson and Anne Nelson of Kenosha; a brother, Chandler (Jennifer) Nelson in Iraq; her aunt and uncle, Warren and Sally Hall; and cousins, Tony and Emily Hall. She will also be missed by her dear friends, Ginger Rasmussen and Margaret Cote; her housemates, Judy, Krysta, and Sylvia; her caregivers, Stacey, Crystal, Dorothy, and Angie; her many friends at the YMCA and KAC; and most of all her little dog, "Holly" will be lost without her. Rita was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Coulombe; her grandparents, Rita and Charles Hall; and her uncle, Charlie Hall of Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 16th, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Rita’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

Rita truly was a gift from God. We worked at KAC together for many years and then we had pt & ot at the same time. We loved to laugh together. Some of her caregivers and I worked together. Rita will greatly be missed by all that knew her. She now can be at peace.

I am so very sorry to hear this news. I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Rita's family. In the short time that I was able to spend with Rita, she was always great to work with. She was always so strong, and endured so much in her life, she was a great inspiration to me that life is precious and appreciate everything. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.~Selina

Rita was a precious gift from God above,so much beauty, grace and love. She touched our hearts in so many ways, her smile so bright even on the bad days. She heard God's whisper calling her home,She didn't want to go and leave us alone. She loved us so much, she held on tight, till all the stregnth was gone and she could no longer fight.she knew she couldn't make him wait anymore. So she gave her hand to God and slowly drifted away. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you. With my deepest sympathy, Crystal
