Florence "Marie" Cross, 87, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 21st, at Hospitality Manor. She was born November 13, 1922 in Itawamba County, Mississippi. She was the daughter of the late Duffey and Minnie (Griffus) Holland. On March 16, 1940 in Fulton, Mississippi she married Robert Cross. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1998. Marie enjoyed sharing her home with family and friends. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who cherished her daughters, her sons and their families. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo and loved to garden and spend time fishing in her younger years. She is survived by her four children, Sandy Castellanos, Jerry (Janice) Cross, Gary Cross all of Kenosha, and Kathy (Steve) Fox of Pleasant Prairie; five grandchildren, Shane (Kylee) and Shannon Fox, Deanna (Justin) Downey, Jeremy and Matthew Cross; and one great-grandchild, Caden Cross. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Pauline Keel and Oneida Barnes. The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Hospitality Manor, Hospice Adavantage, and very special thank you to Kenny Harper for all of their special care and support. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 24 at Proko Funeral Home at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
