Amy S. Caldwell, 87, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Monday, August 23rd at her daughter’s home. She was born on January 20, 1923 in Kenosha, WI. She was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Julia (Tutera) Costabile. Amy attended local schools, including Bradford High School. She also attended Secretarial Vocational School. On February 1, 1941 she married Anthony Kurklis, they later divorced. In 1964 she married Lester Caldwell who preceded her in death in 2007. Amy was employed by "Kenosha Bindery" a.k.a Lowes for 15 years. In 1963 she went to work for her brother, Joseph Costabile for 25 years at Racine Private Police. Lester and Amy relocated to Henderson, NV for 23 years. She then moved to Phoenix, AZ after Lester’s death, until returning back to home in 2009. She loved bowling, and was involved in many leagues. She enjoyed reading, especially mystery books. In Las Vegas, she loved to gamble and enjoyed eating at the wonderful buffets. Amy is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Larry) Day of Pleasant Prairie two grandchildren, Joseph Kuehn of Wausau and Christine (Gordon) Greno of Phoenix, AZ; eight great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Brittney, Eric, Sara, Krista Jo, Katelyn, Karly, and Kendra; her God Child Jayne Nudi, of Kenosha; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandson, Paul H. Kuehn, her siblings, Sara Bartelli, John Costabile, Josephine Dictius, Joseph Costabile, and one sister in infancy. Funeral services will be held, Thursday, August 26th, at Proko Funeral Home at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be private. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice Alliance would be greatly appreciated by the family.
