Patricia L. (Vincent) Davis, 67, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 13, 2010, at St. Catherine’s Medical Center after a twenty-eight year battle with breast cancer. Patricia was born on June 29, 1943, in Wilmington, Delaware to Iris J. and the late John D. Vincent. With her father being a commercial pilot, she traveled with her family and lived in a variety of places including Heemstede, Holland, Long Island, New York, Redwood City, California and Genoa City, Wisconsin. She received her teaching certificate from the Kenosha County Teacher’s College in 1968. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carthage College in Kenosha, and a Master of Education and Professional Development from UW-Whitewater in 1981. Pat was a dedicated educator and taught at the elementary level for thirty four years at Salem Grade School in Salem, Wisconsin, from where she retired in 2001. Pat spent her years playing racquetball, soaking up the sun along various coastlines and beaches, traveling the world, and spending quality time with her friends and family. She lived life passionately and enjoyed laughing and joking. Pat could be found boarding an airplane wearing a banana nose, or assigning rows in the strawberry fields with a crazy parrot hat on her head. She enjoyed having fun and making people smile. If Pat was serious about anything it was living a full and complete life. Her strength and courage throughout the years of her illness were inspirational to others around her who were fighting the same or similar battles. Pat consistently rose above her medical challenges to live life on her terms and without reservation. Her high-spirited disposition and positive outlook were the hallmarks of her personality as she embraced all of the good things in life. Pat is survived by her mother, Iris J. Vincent of Kenosha; daughter, Kelly (Davis) Heigl (Chris Lueloff) of Milwaukee; twin granddaughters, Savannah Mae and Taylor Patricia Heigl; sister, Kathryn Vincent (Scott) Nelson of Kenosha; brothers, Randolph (Nancy) Vincent of Arkansas and George (Shelley) Vincent of New Hampshire; and her significant other, Terry Principe of Kenosha. Pat’s family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the compassionate care she received at St. Catherine’s during her final days. They also wish to thank all of the wonderful doctors and nurses that followed Pat throughout the course of her illness. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 21st, at Proko Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc or the American Diabetes Association.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Pat’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

How grateful I am to have known Pat. In the most recent years, I've admired her bravery as she faced an ever new challenge...so many years of laughter, grace, and dedication were shared at Salem Grade School with staff, and particularly with students. May wonderful memories sustain you today and in time ahead. I count being her friend a double blessing.

Pat displayed a glass is half full way of life despite all she was going through, which is one of the many ways she was such an inspiration to all of us. We will miss her and her charismatic personality, a person who never stopped trying or giving, always curious, thoughtful, and caring. Our thoughts and prayers are with Terry, her family and friends who are grieving. We hope you find solace in your memories of her and her love for you. Love, the MacDonald’s – Shelly, Glenn, Abaigh and Liam

Kelly, Chris, Savannah and Taylor......we are so sorry for your loss. It seems that Pat crammed an incredible amount into her all too short life. She must have been an inspiration to everyone that knew her. We hope that over time your memories of her will bring more smiles than sadness. We wish we could be there with you this Saturday but you will be in our thoughts. We will send a donation in her name to the National Breast Cancer organization. Love, the Wise's
