Robert B. "Goody" Goodman, 87, of Kenosha, passed away at his residence on Thursday, June 17, 2010. He was born in Kenosha on September 11, 1922, the son of the late Burnell and Elizabeth (Becker) Goodman. He was a lifelong resident of Kenosha and attended local schools. On December 30, 1942, he entered the United States Army during World War II. He served as a paratrooper and a member of the 53rd Military Police Company. He received the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, American Theater Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. On March 31, 1946, he was honorably discharged. He married LaVerne "Lovie" Kraak in Kenosha on June 17, 1943. Goody was employed by Coopers for a short time and was a milk man for Milk Producers and Langren’s Dairy. He retired from Dean’s Milk as a semi driver. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Bob played Softball with Mac’s Zipper’s. He loved fishing, golfing and vacationing in Three Lakes, WI. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, LaVerne of Somers; a daughter, Susan (Ken) Smith of Bristol; a sister, Patricia Dahl of Kenosha; his two grandchildren, Katie Smith and Ben (Kristi) Smith; and also his two great-grandchildren, Camryn and Carson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 22nd, at Proko Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
