Theresa Marie Hauser, 92, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2010, at Hospitality Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in New York on December 7, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Concetta (Greco) Caputo. She came to Kenosha as a young girl and was educated in local schools. On November 15, 1947, she married Arthur W. Hauser at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on May 13, 2008. Theresa was employed as Bakery Manager with National Food Store and A & P for a total 20 years before retiring, where she was known to all the little children as "The Cookie Lady." She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a retiree of the Food and Commercial Workers Local 1444, loved to go to the Indian casinos, was a great cook and liked to bake. Survivors include her two children, Judy (John) Peters of Kenosha and Ron (Annette) Hauser of Le Mesa, CA; three grandchildren, David (Becky) Heroux, Kelly Krewson and Taylor Hauser; and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Krewson. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Frank, Joseph, Louie, Eugene and Sam Caputo; a sister, Rose Gardynecki; and her beloved little dog, Chickles. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 3rd, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
