Florence R. Farmer, 94, formerly of Trempealeau, WI, late of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Manor Care. Born on October 16, 1915, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Scandali) Salerno. She came to Kenosha as a young girl and was educated in the local schools. She lived in Racine for awhile and later moved to Trempealeau. She returned to Kenosha in 2010. On June 27, 1942, she married Earl Gordon Farmer at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1981. Florence was employed at various nursing homes in Racine throughout her life. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church while in Kenosha, enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and was an avid gardener. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were six brothers, Nick, Micky, Ralph, Michael, Samuel and Joe Salerno; and a sister, Sarah DeMarino. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 18th, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery.
