ROBERT H. SCHLOSSER1927 - 2010Robert H. Schlosser, 82, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 25th at his residence.Born in Kenosha, June 17th, 1927, th son of the late Albert F. and Ethel I. (Gettings) Schlosser. A lifelong resident of Kenosha. He attended Durkee Elementary School, Lincoln Jr. High School and Mary D.Bradford High School.From 1945 until 1947 during World War II he served in the United States Army Infantry in Germany.On June 9th, 1979 he married Elaine Helen Henkel at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Kenosha.He had been employed for Simmons, Co. J.I. Case, Snap-On Tools and from 1958 until his retirement on June 1, 1987 he was employed as a machinist by American Motors/ Chrysler Corp. A member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, UAW Local #72 and the RSVP Master Chorus.Surviving are his wife Elaine; children: Joann Schlosser of Kenosha, Pamela McCollester of Tucson, AZ, Carla (Mike) Jurasewicz of Neenah, WI, Lorraine (Clarence) Marzini of Kenosha; LeRoy J. (Susan) Zapp, Larry L. Zapp; Leonard D. (Susan C.) Zapp all of Kenosha; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.The family would like to extend a special Thanks to Dr. Joshua Bloom and the Staff of Hospice Alliance. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 29th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment, with full military honors, to follow at All Saints Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Proko Funeral Home and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers memorials to Hospice Alliance would be appreciated by the family.
