Nancy Olep1934-2010Nancy Olep, 75, passed away on Thursday, March 18 at Kenosha Memorial Hospital surrounded by her daughters. Nancy lived in Kenosha for most of her life.Born July 22, 1934 in Kenosha, Nancy was the daughter of the late Chris H. and Melvine (Hintz) Johnson. She was a graduate of Washington Park High School, Racine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from U.W. Madison and later married Myron P. Keyes. Together they had four daughters.Nancy started teaching in Columbus, WI in 1956 and retired from St. Casmir Elementary School in Kenosha in 1994. Over the years, Nancy served as secretary of the Kenosha Running Club, a Girl Scout Leader, a Sunday School Teacher, sang in the choir, and volunteered at Womens Horizons Center in Kenosha.Nancy enjoyed dancing, singing, cooking, playing the piano, skiing, running, swimming, and camping.She is survived by her husband Elmer Olep, her daughters Leslee Keyes, Karen Keyes, Jennifer (Patrick) Nora, Polly (Brent) Mueller and grandchildren Nicole (Greg) Walters, Scott and Sarah Mueller, Zachary and Nathaniel Mueller, and Kristina and Claire Nora.A private family service was held in her honor.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th St. Ph: 262-654-3533Visit Nancy’s Online Memorial Book At:www.prokofuneralhome.com
