Mary Patitucci
Mary Patitucci, 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 18, 2010, at St. Anne’s Salvatorian Campus in Milwaukee. She and her husband Sam have lived there since June, to be by their son and his family. Born on February 21, 1914, in Kenosha, Mary was the daughter of the late Anthony "Tony" and Geralda (Palese) Mattioli. She was a lifelong resident of Kenosha and graduated from Kenosha High School. On January 26, 1946, she married Sam Patitucci at Our Lady of The Holy Rosary Catholic Church. For many years Mary worked as a seamstress for Lepp & Company and later for Montgomery Ward’s. She was a talented seamstress who enjoyed sewing her whole life. Mary was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Italian American Ladies Auxiliary. Many will remember her every time they enjoy the slippers and afghans she lovingly made for her treasured family and friends. She was well known for her boxes of Christmas cookies and masterful pizzelles. Mary loved her hometown, her church and the history she helped make. Mary’s sense of humor and love of life will be missed greatly by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Sam; her devoted son, Ralph (Carolyn); her dear granddaughters, Marissa Geist (Paul), Christina, and Teresa; her great-grandson, Samuel Rash; and her many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita Patitucci; a brother, Dominic Mattioli; and her four sisters, Fermina Pulera, Lucille Potenziani, Eleanor Daniels and Anne Calder. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 20th, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private at St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at Our Lady of The Holy Rosary Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Anne’s Salvatorian Campus in Mary’s name would be appreciated by the family.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Mary’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

Dear Mr. Patitucci, Ralph and family. Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your wife and mother.I have fond memories of your mother. When I was growing up, I spent alot of time at my Aunt Mary and Uncle Joe Renzoni's house, she use to come and visit with my Aunt. When I got married, I rented one of Uncle Joe's apt. and still got to see her and talk with her. Through the years,I would see her at different Church functions and she always had a big hug for me. She was a wonderful lady. May you all have comfort in knowing that she was liked by so many people. Annie Sue Wright

Dear Sam and Family, Mary was a sweetheart and my Mom Jean Lindgren will continue to miss her and their Friday afternoon meetings at McDonald's. I attended Holy Rosary School as a child and remember Rita. She was a beautiful girl. I was a few years younger but will never forget her. Gerry Daniels was also a dear friend of mine. Our heartfelt condolences go out to you and all family members. Mary is with her beautiful daughter now. I know she missed Rita so much every day. May God comfort you at this most difficult time. My Mom Jean sends her love and sympathy. Sincerely, Charmaine Robinson

We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Mary Patitucci and particularly to our dear friends and neighbors Ralph and Carolyn, their children and grandchild. We enjoyed knowing Mary and particularly appreciated her relationship with our daughter, Stephanie. Mary passed on some of her talents to Stephanie by teaching her to crochet.
