Marjorie P. "Marge" Johnston, 91, of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2010, at Hospitality Manor with her family by her side. She was born to George and Lucy (Kamer) Boutott on February 2, 1919, in Green Bay, WI. At the age of six her family moved to Kenosha where she has lived ever since. She attended local schools and graduated from Kenosha High School in 1936. On October 29, 1938, she married George J. Friedl. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1968. On June 26, 1976, she married Richard "Dick" Johnston and he preceded her in death on April 12, 2006. Marge worked for Brittles Restaurant and Jockey for several years. She then went on to establish a career at the Brown National Bank for twenty-two years, retiring in 1981 as a loan officer. While working at the bank, she belonged to the Kenosha Credit Women's Bureau where she sponsored several events. Marge was truly a lover of life. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends, card playing, traveling, cooking, baking, and reading. She utilized these talents over the years by working on several class reunions. She was happiest surrounded by family and friends and her grand puppy, Bee Gee, a six year old Maltese. She touched numerous people’s lives with her kind and giving nature and will be missed by many. She is survived by a daughter, Susan L. (Daniel) Cisler of Pleasant Prairie; and two daughters through marriage, Carol (Victor) Hansen of Grey Concord, CA, and Cathy (Joe) Petrusek of Summerville, OR. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many wonderful and caring friends. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 22nd, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday at Proko Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. We have been so blessed to know such a gracious lady. Marge was loving and accepting of us. We always felt like family with her. Sue and Dan: You have our most heart felt sympathy for your loss.
