John Lawson Parry, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. He was born in Zion, IL, on July 1, 1919, the son of the late Thomas and Naomi (Quint) Parry. He moved to Kenosha in 1946. On December 13, 1946, he married Irene Braasch at the First Methodist Church in Waukegan, IL; she preceded him in death on July 1, 2007. John was employed with the Waukegan News Sun and later for the Kenosha news for 37 years. He was a member of the International Typographical Union and the Kenosha Reformed Church. Surviving John are his son, Karl Jon (Rhonda) Parry of Kohler, WI; a brother, James Parry of Las Vegas, NV; and a sister, Ellen Van Arkel of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Parry.
