Barbara J. Bryant, 49, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2010, at her residence after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Born in Kenosha on February 26, 1960, she was the daughter of Howard and Kathleen (Moran) England. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she graduated from St. Joseph High School. She married Steven Bryant in Burlington, WI. She had been employed at various businesses in the Kenosha area. A member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Barbara enjoyed crafts, painting, baking (banana breads), and was the neighborhood "mother" to many. Surviving are her husband, Steven of Kenosha; a daughter, Ashley Bryant of Kenosha; a step-son, Steven (Kiryl Shada) Bryant II of Kenosha; her parents, Howard and Kathleen England of Kenosha; two sisters, Elizabeth (Lanny) Morrison of Richmond, IL, and Judith (Stephen) Hanlon of Pleasant Prairie, WI; and her two grandchildren, Jossalynn and Sahvannah. The family would like to thank the congregation at St. Mark’s Catholic Church and prayer groups, all clergy, Hospice Alliance, and all of her health care professionals for their care and support they’ve given Barbara. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 1st, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church at 12:00 noon. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Monday at St. Mark’s Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Barbara’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

My deepest sympathies to all those lives that were touched by Barb. She was a good friend, great listener, and always had good advice for me. I am sorry to Barb for not being a better friend to her in her hours of need and years of suffering. I was very glad to see her a couple months ago and I was also happy to meet her granddaughters. My thoughts and prayers are with all her family and friends. Sincerely, Beth
