Beverly A. Peters, 59, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Saturday, January 9, 2010. Born in Waukegan, IL, on March 28, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Ervin and Mildred (Campbell) Peters. She moved to Kenosha in 1960 and was educated from local schools, graduating from Bradford High School. She then attended Gateway Technical College where she received her degree in Radio Broadcasting and also studied Nursing and Fashion Merchandising. She formerly was employed with the Great Lakes Naval Base for many years. Beverly loved taking care of her cats and volunteered with Kindred Kitties as a "feline foster mom." She also enjoyed crocheting and watching television shows. Survivors include her two daughters, Heather and Shelia Womack, both of Kenosha; a sister, Carol Peters of Kenosha; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Teresa Veronica Marie Pekkala-Womack, and a great-granddaughter, Shaylee Marie Cross.
