Ruth M. Dixon

1917 ∼ 2009

Ruth M. Dixon, 92, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2009. On October 2, 1917, she was born the daughter of the late Andrew and Louise (Johnson) Andersen, in Harvard, IL. They moved to Kenosha a year later. On November 24, 1938, she married William B. Dixon at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church in Kenosha. He passed away on July 3, 1968. Ruth was employed by American Motors for 25 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. She is survived by her son, William A. (Peggy) Dixon; four grandchildren, William (Katy) Dixon, Dave (Kris) Dixon, Susan (Bill) Phillips, and Ruthann (Jerry) Alter; and nine great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her five brothers, James, Robert, Howard, Ray, and Burton Andersen; and five sisters, Caroline Deithloff, Margaret Naekrsy, Josephine Wilcox, Hazel Andersen, and Luella Andersen. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 12th, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
