Bruno V. Ferraro, 69, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2009, at St. Catherine’s Medical Center in Pleasant Prairie. Born in Rossano, Italy, on January 22, 1940, he was the son of the late Dominic and Maria (Macina) Ferraro. He was educated in the schools of Italy, coming to Chicago, IL, in 1957 where he resided until 1981 when he moved to Kenosha to make his home. On December 31, 1980, he married Sandra Lee in Niles, IL. He was a sewer and cement contractor, working for over 40 years in Illinois until his retirement. Bruno was a member of the Laborers Union in Illinois and a former member of the Italian American Club. He was an active bowler for many years; his passion was gardening. Bruno’s world was his children and grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Sandra of Pleasant Prairie; four daughters, Tina Ferraro, Linda Ferraro and Donna Ferraro, all of Bolingbrook, IL, and Cynthia (Jonathan Vanover) Jeffers of Lancaster, CA; three sons, Norman Kazumura of Kenosha, Jeffery (Kim) Kazumura of Trevor, WI, and Senior Master Sgt. Daniel Kazumura of Mildenhall, England; two sisters, Libby (Antonio) Astorino and Rosie Madeo, both of Hernando, FL; a brother, Gaetano (Mary) Ferraro of Chicago, IL; 12 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 30th, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
