Robert A. "Bob" Zandi, 61, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, with his family by his side. Born in Kenosha on May 27, 1948, he was the son of the late Frank V. and Lorraine L. (Renzoni) Zandi. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he attended local schools. He entered the United States Navy on August 18, 1967, and was honorably discharged on August 15, 1969. He received the National Defense Service Medal. On April 17, 1995, he married Connie Holm in Las Vegas, NV. For 28 years he worked as a Fork Truck Driver for Modern Building Materials, retiring in 2003. Bob was a member of the American Legion and Teamsters Union Local #43. Robert played the drums with the band "The Antiques" from 1965 until 1967. He also loved to garden and go deer hunting. Surviving are his wife, Connie of Kenosha; his five children, Evette Aponte and Yvonne Zandi, both of Arnold, MD, Steven (Pamela) Smith of Three Rivers, MI, Tonya (Chris) Beining of Kenosha, and Georgette (Martin) Vasquez of Kenosha; a sister, Marie A. Zandi of Glen Ellyn, IL; a brother, Ronald F. (Linda) Zandi of Whittier, CA; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and an uncle, Dante (Esther) Renzoni of Madison, WI. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 16th, from Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment, with full military honors, will follow at Green Ridge Cemetery.
