Please accept my sincere condolence on the loss of such a special person. I taught with Jackie at Bullen when I first came to Kenosha many years ago. She was so helpful to me and I will never forget her!

Jacky was always a bright light in my Wisconsin world. We shared so much of our lives as friends, roomates, and families. My sincerest sympathies go forward to her family and especially to Jocko. My memories are full of our days together and will forever be cherished.

At Bullen Junior High School, Jacky displayed her humor and wit, along with her subject knowledge, and was appreciated by her students and her colleagues. I had a class of special education students included in one of her classes. She was patient, kind, and kept all students to their tasks. I celebrate that Jacky was able to give to education as well as have time for her retirement.

It is a sad day for all of us as we have lost a truly caring and wonderful person in Jacky. I will always remember her sharp wit, too good card playing skills, but especially her caring for Holly. We always went to Jacky and Jocko's for Halloween and lot's of laughs. Her memory lives on in our hearts.

To Jacky's family and Jocko, my deepest sympathy. Just a short twelve years ago, Jacky shared her love of teaching and knowledge of American History when she helped me study for a college class in preparation for my own teaching career. In addition to our shared love of teaching, we shared a love for books, cats and sports. I will miss her wisdom, laugh and those questions she knew how to ask that always made you think. I will never forget her helping me study for an exam while Jocko was trying to watch Monday Night Football. :)

It was with deep sadness that my wife, Sandra, and I learned of Jackie's passing on Sunday. I taught with Jackie for a number of years at Bullen JHS. She was always a lot of fun to be around and was one of the best teachers I have ever met or have had the honor to work with. Jackie used to ask me to come into her classroom once a year with my guitar and sing ballads with the students. What a pleasure this was for me. I think Jackie liked it too. I hoped the students liked it but I never was quite sure. I know she will be sorely missed by Jocko and by all of the teachers who worked with her at Bullen over the years. Our prayers are with Jocko and other family members during this difficult time.

Having known and shared a house with Jacky during my first 3 years of teaching, I remember the many wonderful times we had together. She was a great example of how to be a caring teacher. Now, more than 30 years later and after my own retirement from teaching, I think about how many young people Jacky influenced with her joy of learning.
