Juan M. Cruz, Sr., 59, of Kenosha, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee. Born on October 4, 1949, in Little Rock, AR, he was the son of the late Juan B. and Dominga (Ruiz) Cruz. He was raised and educated in San Antonio, TX, and moved to Kenosha in 1981 as a migrant worker. On February 16, 1970, he married Linda Lara in San Antonio. Juan worked in various jobs and for the last ten years was an associate pastor at La Pisca Milagrosa in Kenosha. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed following the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys, was very active in his church, loved walking and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Linda of Kenosha; three sons, Juan M. (Lisa) Cruz, Jr., Jacob Cruz, and Angel Cruz, all of Kenosha; two daughters, Linda Cruz and Dana Cruz, both of Kenosha; five brothers, Julian (Angie) Cruz, Juanito Cruz, Miguel Cruz, Jose Cruz, and Esteban Cruz, all of Kenosha; ten sisters, Dominga (Emilio) Rodriguez, Dolores (Ernesto) Villerreal, Elisa (John) Rocha, Rachel (Reyes) Ramirez, Martha Maria (Francisco) Vargas, Elizabeth (Oscar) Avila, Maria (Jeremy) Ledger, Ava Macias, Ruth, Holgin, and Diana Cruz, all of Kenosha; and 19 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jesus R. Cruz.
