Sorry to learn of Mary's passing. I live two houses away and remember her well, but am out of town and only learned of her death late Wednesday evening, August 19. Wish I could have attended the visitation and funeral. My aunt, Mary Gombar, also was a neighbor of Mary and Rex since they moved to 36th Avenue. She died in 2006. Joe Desris

Grandma Mary, you are far away now, somehow a piece of my soul left with you. You were the biggest influence of my life. You taught me how to sew, taught me how to garden, taught me how to mother children, taught me how to fend off garden snakes, taught me to work hard. I will miss you making home-made play dough in the kitchen, but will teach my children. I will miss being able to call you and ask how long to cook a turkey, I will miss watching you play stickers and puzzles with Jaynah. I will miss calling you and catching up on all the family news. I will miss your beautiful, smile and twinkling eyes. I will miss your "I love you's". I will miss your loving hands. I will miss you.
