Michael DiCello, 90, of Kenosha, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2009, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. Mike was born May 25, 1919, in Kenosha, to the late Antonio and Emanuella (Perri) DiCello. He graduated from Kenosha High School in 1938. In April of 1941, he joined the United States Army and was stationed overseas during World War II. He married Elsie Schlaffer in Alexandria, LA, on December 13, 1941. She preceded him in death on August 3, 1971. He moved to Racine in 1961. Due to illness, he has resided in Kenosha since 2008, living with his niece and nephew Angela and Tony Covelli. He was the co-owner of Victory Cleaners in Kenosha. He then worked at Badger Uniform in Racine where he was a Vice President. He retired in 2006. He was a member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Racine. Mike enjoyed Casino Trips and going to Las Vegas. Surviving are a sister, Rose Bloom, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Peter, Gabriel and Louis, and three sisters, Nicoletta "Callie" DiCello, Angeline DiCello, and Mary Richie. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, August 4th, at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Racine at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Racine.
