Waltraud "Wally" Brittelli, 82, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully at United Hospital system-Kenosha Campus on Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Born in Dillenburg, Germany, on January 14, 1927, she came to the United States and Kenosha from Germany in 1954. On August 27, 1954 she married Joseph R. Brittelli at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Waltraud had been a language teacher at Gifford Jr. High School in Racine for 10 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Besides being an avid golfer and gardener, she enjoyed watching all the games her husband coached. Surviving are her husband, Joseph R. Brittelli of Kenosha; her sisters-in-law, Oakley Gerth, Rose Romano and Dolores Hunkeler, all of Kenosha; and also many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria, and step-father, Herbert Otto. The family would like to extend a special THANK YOU to Grande Prairie, Brookside and St. Joseph’s Nursing Homes, Hospice Alliance and especially to Dr. Michael Zeihen. A committal service will be held on Monday, August 3rd, at All Saints Chapel, 3300 Springbrook Road, at 10:00 a.m. with entombment to follow.
