Jose M. Ramirez, Jr., 55, of Kenosha, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. Born June 17, 1954, in Crystal City, TX, he was the son of the late Jose M. and Margarita (Garcia) Ramirez, Sr. In 1975 he moved to Chicago, IL, and in 1978 he came to Kenosha to make his home. He was a loving and caring father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren and a very wonderful brother to his siblings and a great friend. We are going to miss him very dearly. Surviving are his ex-wife, Beatriz Cazares of Kenosha; three sons, Jose Ramirez, III of Kenosha, David Ramirez of Kenosha, and Jesse Ramirez of Davenport, IA; three daughters, Olga Ramirez of Davenport, IA, Michelle (Sam) Wilkinson of Davenport, IA, and May Ramirez of Davenport, IA; two brothers, Agustine Ramirez of Kenosha and Domingo Ramirez of Seattle, WA; two sisters, Elida (Martin) Martinez of Crystal Lake, TX, and Alicia Garcia of Kenosha; and eighteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Amelia Carroen and Olga Carroen; and two brothers, Diego and Antonio Ramirez. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 20th, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
