Alexander Dimitrijevic, 58, our precious Husband, Dad, and Boppa went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 9, 2009. He was surrounded in love by his wife, family, and friends. Born in Munster, Germany, February 1, 1951, he was the son of Milomir and Elizabeth (Ahamann) Dimitrijevic. When he came to the United States he lived in Pipestone, MN, and later moved to Kenosha, his lifelong home. He attended Kenosha Schools, a graduate of Tremper High School in 1969 and Gateway Technical College in 1971. On June 24, 1972, at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Racine, he married his high school sweetheart Janice Finch. For the last six years he has been a Direct Supervision Officer for the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department and absolutely loved his job, he took great pride in his work. Prior to that he worked at Anaconda American Brass for 24 years in the casting department. A faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Alex had a tremendous giving spirit and liked to help anyone in need. Alex loved and was a lifelong fan of his beloved Chicago Cubs and had been in the "Die Hard Fan Club" since 1962. Hunting and fishing were his favorite past times, he was also a member of city softball leagues for many years. Surviving are his adoring wife, Janice of Kenosha; his three children, Heidi (David) Dryer of Caledonia, WI, Magda (Neil) Gammon of Oregon, WI, and Alexander Finch (Heidi Henderson) Dimitrijevic of Minnesota; his mother, Elizabeth Dimitrijevic of Kenosha; a brother, Radovan (Cindy) Dimitrijevic; two sisters, Diana Kovack and Christine Dimitrijevic; also many nieces and nephews and his father-in-law, Jack Finch, all of Kenosha; and his favorite little people, his grandchildren, Ryan and Christian, Jackson and Natalia and Baby Boy Gammon. Alex also loved his loyal companions Wrigley and Jett--his buddies. He was preceded in death by his father; mother-in-law, Julia Finch; and his infant son, Alexander Matthew in 1978. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 14th, at Immanuel Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Monday at Immanuel Baptist from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated. Rich and I are very sorry for your loss. We both worked with Alex at KCDC. When Rich's mom passed away on May 29th Alex would ask how we were doing, and helped us feel better. I know he is smiling down on everyone from above. He was a wonderful coworker and we were glad to have known him. He will be greatly missed. Rich and Jackie Hawley

To Rade and the entire Dimitrijevic Family; As an Educator, passing through Kenosha County Detention Center, I had the opportunity to meet and talk with Alex on several occasions. He presented himself as a gentleman of great character. I am glad God allowed him to cross my path. We know that your hearts are heavy and it is ok to cry. God won't put any more on you then you can bear. Alex has left a legacy of memories for you to cherish. It is our prayer that God will substain and keep you and your family during your time of mourning. Certainly Alex will be missed.God Bless YouRobert and Frozene Hayes
