John Frank Pikna, 83, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Born in Kenosha on December 20, 1925, he was the son of the late John P. and Mary (Repka) Pikna. He was a lifelong resident of Kenosha. He was proud to have served his country in WWII, earning a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. On February 20, 1954, he married Patricia M. Spaay. She preceded him in death in August of 1989. For over 45 years he was employed as Business Manager for Stan Lock Buick, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. John loved doing crossword puzzles and reading the sports section of the newspaper. Surviving are his three children, David (Janice) Pikna of Wauwatosa, WI, Jeff Pikna of Iowa, and John L. (fiancée - Linda Ercoli) Pikna of Kenosha; a sister, Joan Buehrens of Massachusetts; five grandchildren, Mindy, Ryan, Alan, Hailey and Laura; four great-grandchildren, Jeffery, Austyn, Baylee and Jessa; and also three nephews and a niece.
