Dear Carol,I am sorry to hear of your and the children's loss of Tom. I returned to the Delmar area to work at the Academy as archivist two years ago. One of the first things I wanted to do was recognize Tom's achievements with the Milit-Aires and Privat-Aires. I found a tape from 1965 and put the songs up on my new archives website: www.archivesandcollections.org/archives/audios.cfm. I have been meaning to talk to you and Tom about the past. Just last week, I finished a slide show of the history of all the sports: there was Tom again, first captain of the first wrestling team. I have missed the chance to talk with him, but I shall see to it that the school and his former students will always have the opportunity to reconnect in a small way. I miss him and miss the good days spent with you and Tom.John

Prayers & Love to my midwest family. I,m very saddened to hear of Uncle Toms passing. Been a rough year out there. I have very fond memories , I will miss him a lot. He reminded me of Dad ,and that was always comforting. Uncle Tom always treated me like one of his own. Isn`t that what great Uncle`s do ? I LOVE YOU ALL !

Dear Carol and Family:I was sorry to read of the new journey Tom took yesterday, although I believe it it is a joyous journey for him. I was immediately reminded of my own parents, Kenneth and Mary, because Tom was so much like my father. Both were quiet, sensitive and intelligent men who were devoted to family, church and country. They had a keen sense of humor and their grandchildren were intrigued by them! Unfortunately, both men suffered debilitating illnesses and were gone too soon from us.I know you will miss Tom, but I also know that eventually you will smile as you remember the good times you had with him. He will watch over you; his gentle spirit will come to you when you need him, as my father's spirit did.Sincerely,Charlotte
