Amanda Mae Brown, 17, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 25th, 2009, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. Born in Kenosha on December 6, 1991, she was the daughter of Steven Brown and Gloria (Santos) Brown. She was currently a student at Mary D. Bradford High School. Amanda enjoyed spending time with her friends listening to music, dancing, and going to the movies. But most of all, loved spending time with niece, Jayla. Surviving are her father, Steven Brown of Kenosha; her mother, Gloria Brown of Kenosha; two sisters, Alicia and Alaina Brown, both of Kenosha; a brother, Josh Brown of Aurora, IL; her niece, Jayla Chase of Kenosha; maternal grandfather, Joseph Santos of Kenosha; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Francis and Edith Brown; and maternal grandmother, Raquel Santos. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 29th, at Proko Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery. Rest in Peace Amanda. I know we werent the greatest of friends, but it is still hard knowing someone that i went to school with and someone i was in racine detention with is gone. Beleive me, no one will ever forget you. At least you are in Heaven now.
