To Dan's Family: I had the pleasure of knowing Dan while attending UWWhitewater. He was a great fellow student and I enjoyed working with him on assignments and projects for his knowledge, expertise, kindness and humor. He was very proud of all of you and I know he must have been a wonderful father and husband. It makes me sad to know he is gone and at such a young age. Keep your memories close and he will always be with you. I am glad to have known him. Shari Kordecki-Ralph

Dear Joan and Family,Dan was a really wonderful man to know. I feel honored to have ran with him even just 1 time. He was the first person to run with me in the winter of 2008. He was encouraging, supportive, and believed in me a lot more than I believed in me. I will miss him dearly. He was genuine and sincere. He loved his family so much. May God bless of of you in this time of sadness. It was nice to see so many pictures celebrating Dan's life at the service. He truly lived life to the fullest!

My most recent contact with Dan was last week during an AQIP meeting. He very generously spent time with us concerning the financial planning and budgeting process for BTC. I was very impressed and enheartened by his dedication and understanding of the needs and future for our school. Although, we will feel this loss greatly for a long time to come it is nothing in comparison to your feelings.

It is with a deeply saddened heart that I extend my most heartfelt sympathies to your family in this tragic loss. I was able to get to know Dan well after working with him closely on some projects at Blackhawk Tech. I not only appreciated his wit and sense of humor, but his ability to truly listen and accept ideas other than his own. He often spoke in glowing terms of his family, so I know how important his family was to him, and how proud of his children he was. Although he left us too soon, the wealth of memories he left behind is priceless. He will truly be missed.

Dear Joan, Amy, Anthony, Katelyn & Katherine,I am new at Blackhawk and I must confess that I did not know your husband and father well. However, I was able to speak with him on several occasions and when I did, he was consistently positive, helpful, pleasant, and at the same time appreciative of the work I was trying to get done. He left me with a very good feeling for the type of person he was. He wore a smile so naturally that it seemed he would never be without it. As family, I am sure you saw some of his weaknesses as well, but I hope your memories of all that was good and positive about him and what he did in this world, and your faith in the peace in which he now resides will give you the hope you will need to get through this very, very, difficult time. I am very sorry for your loss...it looks from this "short-timer" point of view to be huge.
