Clarence Louis CLAUSEN
Clarence L. “Butch” Clausen, 67, of Woodworth, passed away on Saturday, April 4th, 2009, at home after a brief battle with cancer. Clarence was born in Kenosha on March 27, 1942, to Grace Yonk. He was raised and later adopted by his aunt, Esther Clausen. His aunt and uncle, Mabel and Albert Anderson, assisted in his upbringing. He attended local schools graduating from Woodworth Grade School and Salem High School. On April 24, 1965, Clarence married Sharron D. Lukas in Waukegan, IL. He served overseas in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Clarence was employed at Woodworth Post Office for 42 years, retiring as postmaster on December 31, 2004. He was an avid deer hunter and was a life member of the North American Hunting Club. He also belonged to the Kenosha County Livestock Sale Team for over 24 years and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1865. Survivors include his wife, Sharron of Woodworth; his two daughters, Sheree (Timothy) Pfeuffer of Wheatland and Carolyn (J. John) DeBell of Brighton; five grandchildren, James, Sarah and Andrew Pfeuffer, and Joshua and Alissa DeBell; one great-grandchild, Audrianna Pfeuffer; two brothers-in-law, John Lukas of Eddyville, KY, and Victor Bartels of Wadsworth, IL; and one sister-in-law, Marva Lukas of Round Lake, IL; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held Friday, April 10th, at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 11th, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at North Bristol Cemetery with full military honors.
