B.J. Ingram
B.J. Ingram, 76, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away Thursday, March 5th, 2009, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. Born in Corinth, MS, on March 12, 1932, he was the son of the late Bill and Rebecca (Philips) Ingram. He was educated in the schools of Mississippi and moved to Kenosha in 1950. On February 25, 1956, he married Georgette R. Zura in Corinth, MS. She passed away June 29, 1993. On July 15, 2000, he married Cristine Smith in Kenosha. He was formerly employed at Nash Motors. He then owned and operated C & I Construction in Kenosha and later worked at Kuch & Ingram in Russell, IL, Local #150 Operator Engineers. He was a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Grace Church in Racine, Unity Lodge in Kenosha and Shriners in Milwaukee. B.J. enjoyed gardening (especially flowers and tomatoes), canning, cooking, making soup, his back yard, and especially enjoyed being outdoors. Surviving are his wife, Cristine of Pleasant Prairie; a son, Mark (Kim) Ingram of Lake Villa, IL; a daughter, Rebecca Renae Ingram of Kenosha; two brothers, John Franklin (Dorothy) Ingram of Pleasant Prairie and Billy Joe (Ann) Ingram of Downers Grove, IL; two sisters, Dorothy Sue (Marshall) Daughtery of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Mary Helen (Barry) Block of Mountain Home, AR; three grandchildren, Maranda (Steve Kulinski) Ingram, Brittany Ingram and Austin Ingram; one great-granddaughter Alyana Kayla; three step-sons, Stephen (Allison) Hovorka of Mesa, AZ, John (April) Melendrez of Union Grove, WI, and Jimmy (Angie Fell) Hovorka of Trevor, WI; and three step-daughters, Veronica Foley of Salem, WI, Kimberly Foley of Covina, CA, and Lorretta Hall of Cass, WV. He was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Woodrow Ingram; and two sisters, Bobbie Nell Ingram and Sara Ann Miles. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10th, at Proko Funeral Home at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
