Inez Mabel Granger, 80, of Kenosha, passed away Wednesday, February 25th, 2009, at Grande Prairie Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Milwaukee, WI, on April 14, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Hazel (Bruhn) Laak. Inez graduated from Rufus King High School in Milwaukee. In 1958 she moved to Kenosha to make her home. On April 20, 1946, she married Donald G. Palmer. He passed away July 1, 1950. She was then united in marriage to John Granger on March 1, 1958. He passed away April 27, 1987. A member of St. Mary’s Lutheran Church since 1988, Inez looked forward to going to her church and liked to go out to lunch with her friends, cook and bake for the holidays and enjoyed shopping. Surviving are four sons, Randolph (Lori) Granger of Kenosha, Kenneth (Cyndy) Granger of Burlington, and Harold and John L. Granger, both of Kenosha; a brother, Jim (Wanda) Laak of Denver, CO; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Laak. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 2nd, at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday at St. Mary’s Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
