Rita Ann (Fish) Bundies passed away peacefully at Clare Bridge of Kenosha on February 18th, 2009. Rita was born in Nadeau, MI, on February 26, 1934, the daughter of the late Alfred and Geneva Fish. She attended grade school in Hermansville, MI, until the family finally moved to Kingsford, MI, where she graduated from Kingsford High School. She attended nursing school in Detroit before moving to Appleton, WI, where she was employed as a receptionist at Miller Electric Company. It was in Appleton where she met her husband of over 50 years, Richard Bundies. They where married on December 1, 1956, at American Martyrs Church in Kingsford. Of a strong Catholic faith, Rita was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. For many years Rita was a volunteer worker at St. Catherine’s Hospital in Kenosha. It was because of her volunteer work that she was chosen for the Kenosha News’ “Wives In Our Lives” series. Besides her family, her passions were cooking and gardening. If it was warm, you could always find her digging in her vegetable garden. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, was a voracious reader, and rarely missed watching or listening to a Cubs game. Rita is survived be her husband, Richard; two children, Todd (Sue) Bundies of Kenosha, and Timm (Marta) Bundies of Franklin; and three grandchildren, Zachary, Kayleigh and Tyler. She was preceded in death by her parents, most recently her mother, Geneva. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all of the caregivers at Clare Bridge, and the Hospice nurses, especially Nancy, who gave Rita the best possible care. Their loving care and dedication will always be remembered. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 21st, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at St. Mary’s Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association of SE Wisconsin, 6130 West National Avenue, Suite 200, Milwaukee, WI 53214, would be appreciated by the family.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Rita’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

So very long since seeing you, Dick, but still remember with appreciation our shared moments all those years ago. So sorry to learn of Rita's loss. Passing time will eventually ameliorate for you the pain of her loss as it once did for me. Life must find it's way and so I'm certain it will for you, too. Dean Shumway
