Swanhild Judith “Swanie” Durst, 89, formerly of Kenosha, late of Ogden, UT, passed away on Sunday, January 18th, 2009, surrounded by loving family. She was born Swanhild Judith Martinson on June 15th, 1919, in Vernon County, township of Clinton, in Wisconsin, to John and Marie (Lovstad) Martinson. She married James Harold Durst on April 11th, 1945 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Westby, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death in July of 1985. Survivors include a daughter, Penny (Kevin) Andelin of Ogden, UT; a son, Harold Lee (Elizabeth) Durst of Kenosha; two grandchildren, James (Kristi) Maki and Heather (Kevin) Spencer; and a great-grandchild, Ryan James Maki. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ole, and four sisters, Olga, Minola, Martha, and Ona.
