Frank Willkomm, 92, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, November 29th, 2008, while ice fishing. Frank was born August 2, 1916, the son of the late Nicholas P. and Josephine (Neu) Willkomm. On September 23, 1939, he was united in marriage to Hazel V. Funk. He was a farmer his whole life. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be dearly missed. Survivors include his wife, Hazel; his daughters, Carol (Dale) Grohs of Kenosha and Jeanne (Del) Golbricht of Brookfield; his grandchildren, Lori, Jeff, Jerry, Mark, Greg, Sue and Dennis; his great-grandchildren, Heather, Lauren, Haley, Jason, Carter, Chase, Sarah, Wendy and Parker Jeanne; his brothers, Clarence (Edna) Willkomm and George (Maureen) Willkomm, both of Kenosha, Nicholas (Marylou) Willkomm, Jr. of Union Grove, Louis (Joan) Willkomm of Salem, and Matthew Willkomm of Kansas; sisters, Lucille Weis of Union Grove and Sr. Generose Willkomm of South Milwaukee; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Sylvester, Elmer, Joe, LeRoy and Donald; and sisters, Frances, Catherine and Esther. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 3rd, from Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
